Hastings Observer (21/11/08): South East Tumbling Championships

Talented young 1066 gymnasts performed well in the Regional Tumbling Championships at Crawley. Jake Townsend claimed gold in his age group at Regional B level with a points total of 73.400, as did Josh Millard after achieving a very impressive tally of 78.300 - the second highest score across all the age groups at National 1 level.

Jack Cooper struggled with his first tumble which included a new move for him but still gave a strong display in the 12+ men's age group at Elite 1 level. He finished in fourth place with 69.700 - a very respectable performance considering he was competing against gymnasts twice his age and size. Daniel Dinsdale completed the club's efforts with a bronze medal at National 2 level with a score of 76.600.

Two gymnasts also took part in a regional men's artistic development competition in Maidstone. Townsend finished with a score of 46.700 while Callan Hall performed very cleanly to finish third with 54.000
