Bexhill Observer (29/01/10): Mr Greg Visits Gymnasts Poised For Success
A gymnastics group limbering up for national success welcomed MP Greg Barker into their gym.
Coach Matthew Hart showed Greg around the facilities at 1066 Gymnastics Academy and explained the various pieces of equipment and their use. During the tour, Mr Hart explained: "We have women's artistic gymnasts looking forward to their first grades competition. Our men's artistic gymnasts have a London competition and then their grades competition. There are a few tumblers with a national qualifier coming up and also two team gym squads with a national qualifier."
Greg learned about the club's achievements and progressions since opening its doors in April last year. He said: "I had no idea that Bexhill was home to quite so many talented young gymnasts. The academy pulls in a complete cross section of the local community."
