Sussex Floor & Vault Results

On Sunday 5th February a number of gymnasts from the club travelled to Burgess Hill to compete in the Sussex Gymnastics Floor & Vault competition. Heavy snow prevented some from making it to the event but those who did enjoyed another successful day of competition.

Abbie Curd and Philippa Jewell appeared in the group for girls aged 10 & 11 at the advanced level. Curd scored 8.500 on Floor and 7.500 on Vault for a total of 16.000 which was goof enough for second place. Jewell was close behind with a total of 15.750 after scoring 8.400 on Floor and 7.350 on Vault.

Chloe Sharman competed in the novice group for girls aged 11. She performed well to earn 6.850 on Floor and 5.600 on Vault for a total of 12.450.

Isabella Gibbons, Hollie Sharman and Mollie Stevens all took part in the novice group for girls aged 9. Gibbons took 6.400 on Floor and 5.200 on Vault for a total of 11.600. Sharman's scores on Floor (6.100) and Vault (5.050) gave her 11.150. Stevens finished with 10.700 after taking 6.000 on Floor and 4.700 on Vault.

Harrison Todd represented the club in the novice group for boys afed 8 & 9. He scored 6.500 on Floor and 5.550 on Vault for a total of 12.050.

Max Curd, Kai Bishop and Jake Hickling appeared in the novice group for boys aged 10 & 11. Curd scored 5.600 on Floor and 4.900 on Vault for a total of 10.500. Bishop earned 6.450 on Floor and 4.650 on Vault for his total of 11.100. Hickling earned the bronze medal position with a total of 12.100 after scoring 6.100 on Floor and 6.000 on Vault.
