Clare has enjoyed a long and varied experience in gymnastics. As a girl she competed in Sports Acrobatics to national level. She then watched her daughter Jasmine take steps into the sport at a young age.
Clare was soon back in the gym, this time as a coach. Clare ventured through General Gymnastics and Women's Artistic Gymnastics before discovering Team Gym, a wonderful, expanding discipline which allows elder gymnasts to remain in the sport and compete in very audience friendly events.
Her daughter Jasmine is now one of her gymnasts in her girls Team Gym squad. Her young son Samuel represents the Academy at Men's Artistic Gymnastics events.
Clare is one of the very few coaches in the South East qualified in Freestyle Gymnastics, providing her with another tool by with which she is wonderfully able to engage with teenagers and motivate them in their training.
