1066 gym duo contest British Championships

Samuel Clarke and Callan Hall of 1066 Gymnastics competed at the Men's Artistic Gymnastics British Championships in Stoke-on-Trent.

This was Hall's third appearance and Clarke's second, and both were involved in the boys' group for gymnasts aged 12 and under.

Starting out on Rings, Hall scored 10.200 and Clarke a disappointing 8.900 after a fall on dismount. Two solid handspring Vaults earned Hall 12.350 and Clarke 12.400, while on Parallel Bars Hall managed 11.000 and Clarke earned 10.100 after a second weak dismount.

On High Bar Hall got through his simple routine safely for 5.300 and Clarke scored 4.850 but injured himself on another unhappy landing. Clarke rested and withdrew from Floor but cheered on his training buddy who scored 11.600. the boys took to pommels to finish and Hall safely negotiated his routine without a fall for the first time and scored 9.150. Clarke incurred one fall and scored 8.500.

Hall scored a total of 59.600 and Clarke 44.750 which ranked then 42nd and 46th respectively in the country.

The next day Leah Falla and Kiarna Ling competed in a Floor and Vault event in Guildford at bronze level. Falla scored 8.050 on Floor and 7.350 on Vault in the 2000/2001 year-of-birth group for a total of 15.400 which placed her an impressive sixth out of 23 competitors. Ling appeared in the 1994+ group and scored 8.050 on floor and 8.400 on Vault for a total of 16.450 and first place.

Four 1066 Gymnasts contested the Women's Artistic Gymnastics Regional Championships. Willow Braisby and Lauren Venkateswarlu competed at level 6. Braisby scored 12.050 on Vault, 11.850 on Bars, 11.800 on Beam and 10.900 on Floor for a total of 46.600. Venkateswarlu achieved 11.500 on Vault, 11.750 on Bars, 11.700 on Beam and 11.000 on Floor for a total of 45.950. This was the girls' first four piece women's artistic gymnastics event.

Amie Anderson and Honor Homewood competed at level 5. Anderson scored 11.100 on Vault, 12.150 on Bars, 10.200 on Beam and 11.750 on Floor for a total of 45.200. Homewood earned 10.750 on Vault, 11.400 on Bars, 9.550 on Beam and 11.150 on Floor for a total of 42.850.
