Floor & Vault successes in Gillingham
A group of gymnasts from the club travelled to Gillingham to take part in a friendy Floor & Vault competition. Many of the gymnasts were competing for the first time.
Harrison Todd competed in the group for boys born in 2003. He scored 7.400 on Floor and 7.900 on Vault for a total of 15.300 and first place. Honie Hurcombe, Isabella Gibbons and Hollie Sharman all competed in the group for girls born in 2003. Hurcombe earned 7.400 on Floor and 6.800 on vault for a total of 14.200 and fifth place. Gibbons took 7.150 on Floor and 6.100 on Vault and totalled 13.250. Sharman took 7.100 on Floor, 6.200 on Vault and a total of 13.300.
Max Curd appeared in the group for boys born in 2002. He scored 6.850 on Floor, 6.900 on Vault and a total of 13.750 and the gold medal.
Shannon Belcher and Nyah Braisby took part in the group for girls born in 2004. Belcher earned 7.200 on Floor and 6.600 on Vault for a total of 13.800. Braisby took 7.350 on Floor and 7.300 on Vault for total of 14.650 and third place.
Ella Millard represented girls born in 2000. She scored 7.250 on Floor and 7.800 on Vault. Her total was 15.050 and she was awarded a gold medal.
Eve Still, Millie Whyte and Talia Cahill all appeared in the group for girls born in 2005. Cahill earned 8.650 on Floor, 9.600 on Vault and finished in third place with 18.250. Whyte took 8.700 on Floor and 9.850 on Vault for a total of 18.550 and second place. Still completed the hat-trick by finishing in first place with a total score of 18.650 after taking 8.850 on Floor and 9.800 on Vault.
Leah Falla competed in the bronze group for girls born in 2001. After scoring 8.350 on Floor and 8.000 on Vault she finished in first place with 16.350.
Melissa Bratton took part in the bronze group for girls born in 2002. She scored 7.800 on Floor and 7.700 on Vault and totalled 15.500 and second place.
Samantha Prince and Tahira Wager competed in the bronze group for girls born in 2000. Prince scored 8.600 on Floor and 8.500 on Vault. She finished with a total of 17.100 and first place. Wager earned 7.800 on both pieces and got a total of 17.100 for fourth place.
Bethany Todd and Lauren Jeanes both appeared in the group for girls born in 1999. Todd scored 8.150 on Floor and 8.600 on Vault and a total of 16.750 and second place. Jeanes scored 8.650 on Floor and 8.500 on Vault for a total of 17.150 and first place.
Tia wager appeared in the bronze group for girls born in 1998. she scored 8.550 on Floor and 8.700 on Vault for a total of 17.250 and first place.
