Girls collect medal collection in Dover
The club's four-piece squad enjoyed another successful outing at a competition in Dover.
In the brzone group for girls born in 1999+ Lauren Jeanes ranked third on bars with 6.200, third on beam with 6.700, second on floor with 8.300 and took 5.800 on vault. She finished with a total of 27.000. Joining her was Summer Jennings who earned 4.500 on bars and third on vault with 7.100. She also managed to match Jeane's scores on beam and floor and shared the bronze and silver medals respectively. Her finishing total was 26.600. Bethany Todd also appeared in this group. She scored 5.000 on floor 6.400 on beam, 7.700 on floor and 6.200 on vault for a total of 25.300. Tia Wager scored 4.000 on bars, 6.000 on beam, 3.000 on floor and took gold on vault with 7.600. Her total was 20.600.
Melissa Bratton and Philippa Jewell appeared in the bronze group for girls born in 2002/2003. Bratton took 6.000 on bars, a gold medal on beam for a score of 7.400, 7.500 on floor and 6.300 on vault. Jewell tool silver on bars with 6.500, 6.100 on beam and gold on vault with 7.500. Her total after three pieces was 20.100.
In the bronze group for girls born in 2000/2001 Samantha Prince, Leah Falla, Tahira Wager and Abbie Curd all competed. Prince took 5.600 on bars, gold with 7.500 on beam, bronze with 8.200 on floor and silver on vault with 7.500. Her total of 28.800 was good enough for her to then pick up the silver over-all medal. Falla earned gold on bars with 6.200, 6.600 on beam, 8.000 on floor and 7.100 on vault for a total of 27.900. Wager scored 5.500 on bars, 6.700 on bars, 8.100 on floor and 7.300 and a bronze medal on vault. Her total was 27.600. Curd scored 5.100 on bars, 6.800 on beam and 7.200 on vault. Her total after three pieces was 19.100.
